Christmas Cake Recipe - (100 years old from Mary Johnson)

Ingredients

1. 10oz butter
2. 10oz sugar
3. 10oz flour
4. 5 eggs - (Sorry for the omission in ALeafFromSycamore issue 3)
5. Small carton of cream (approx. 4fluid oz)
6. 1lb currants
7. 1/2lb mixed peel
8. 1oz cherries
9. 1oz ground almonds
10. 1oz ground almonds chopped

Method

• Cream butter and sugar and add the beaten eggs one at a time.
• Add the flour slowly and then the cream.
• Stir in all the other ingredients.
• Bake for six hours at 250F or 110-120C. Mary Johnson
